The student is now the TEACHER
Hello to my beloved readers. Its been two months since I posted here in my blog. I apologized for that. For now, I will going to summarized my experiences during those days.
Anyways, I am now a college instructor in AMA Computer College - Davao Campus. So if you don't mind, I am going to narrate my experiences as an instructor.
June 22, 2009 - Freshmen Orientation. First day of work. I was expecting that on the orientation instructors will just be sitting in front and just listen (ganun kasi nakikita ko back with my college days hehehe). In AMA, it is a big NO NO! Instructors are duly mandated to participate all activities during orientation and this includes games and team building activities. You need also to guide students with the activities. Then, in the afternoon, we have a campus mapping wherein instructors will guide students on each offices inside the building, the gym and the canteen. This quite difficult with me because I am new and I do know the pasikot-sikot inside the building. Ang ginawa ko na lng, I pretend (para hindi mabisto na bago pa). I pretend to know the offices and the officers kahit first time ko sila nakausap. In the end, naniwala naman ang mga students.
June 23, 2009 - Regular class. First day of class. Kinakabahan ako actually. But I put in mind na kaya ko to. My classes are all first years. Kaya sakit sa ulo. But at the end of the day, I think my students are satisfied. I also have Programming 2 (2nd year) and IT ethics (4th year).
